The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for the edges of a sliding cover (10) in a , comprising an edge sealing (2) of elastic material, which is substantially C-shaped in cross-section and has the ends of its legs (4, 5) provided with engagement bosses (3). The vicinities of cover edges (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) include two broached-bottom mating grooves (6) at a distance railway freight wagon (W1) from each other for receiving the engagement bosses (3) of an edge sealing, whereby the edge sealing is in contact with the cover. The edge sealing has a central portion (7) of its C-profile compress against a wagon frame (9) while the cover is in a closed position (S). As the shape of a freight wagon
frame changes during running, for example, the central portion rolls along the surface of a mating structure, thus reducing wear and tear.
A self-propelled railway goods railroad freight car has an electropneumatic control valve of railway rolling stock(51), a compressed air reservoir(55) for the brakes, a compressor(77) supplying it up to a suitable threshold pressure and a manual or remote-controlled device (87) to trigger the valve. There is at least one pressure monitor or sensor (69) to ensure that the brake release pressure is limited to an upper threshold. A further monitor or sensor ensures that if a minimum pressure is fallen below, the valve is switched off. The compressor is driven off the wagon's motor or from an axle. The pipe(75) between the compressor and the reservoir has a stop valve (81), a pressure-reducing valve(83) and/or a non-return valve (85).
The invention relates to a structure for forming a combination of car-carrying railroad freight car (1a...c) or the like, wherein the vehicles or the like to be transported can be placed successively and across the couplings (6, 7) between the wagons, irrespective of the couplings. In this case, there is disposed in the area of each coupling between two wagons (1a and 1b; 1b and 1c) a supporting bridge (5a...d), which is capable of being fastened rigidly to one wagon (1a or 1b; 1b or 1c), while the other wagoncan move in relation to the supporting bridge.
