On Nov. 25, 2015, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang invited CEEC (Central and Eastern European Countries) leaders to take the Chinese high-speed train together. They took a 21 minutes ride from Suzhou North Railway Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, covering a distance of 91 kilometers.
When the speed reached over 300 kilometers-per-hour, foreign leaders appreciated its stability and comfort. In the carriage, Premier Li and other leaders held friendly talks. Li emphasized China-CEEC cooperation is like a train(
railway vehicle) , which has gradually accelerated since starting its journey three years ago and has now entered a fast track.
Over the past decade, trade volume between China and CEEC has septupled, reaching 60 billion US dollars in 2014. China's investment in CEEC exceeded 5 billion US dollars covering machinery, chemical industry, telecommunications and more.
China has actively sought to export its high-speed rail technology about
railway rolling stock in recent years, with media referring to the premier as the country's top railway salesman. On Nov. 24, Premier Li said that Construction of a high-speed rail link between Serbian and Hungarian capitals will begin within this year. It will cut travel time between Belgrade and Budapest by more than half, will be finished in two years.
